Assessor Comments
Outstanding opportunity to purchase ewes from the Parakeelya Poll Merino Stud of Beacon. These ewes would normally be retained for breeding purposes within the stud but have been classed out and reluctantly placed on the market due to seasonal conditions. Wheatbelt bred for 50 plus years, these ewes are large frame and plain bodied and show all the characteristics of quality breeding for wool and fertility. Average lambing for this flock in 2023 was 120% with lambs just weaned 2 weeks ago. Pure poll breeding for the last 20 years based on SRS genetic infusion, has shown tremendous wool cut as well as quality. These ewes would suit the most astute merino breeder as well as any sheep enterprises. Please note vendor has 4 other lines in this catalogue to suit with trucking.
