Assessor Comments
This is a line of 248 5 year old Classed Breeders. These ewes are bred on Tooronga at Cape Clear, and this is the first time they have been presented for sale on AuctionsPlus. The Rizzoli family have been breeding fine wool merinos since 1949, and over the recent past have been using Strathcona and Moorundi Genetics in their operation. The commercial aim at Tooronga is to breed Medium to Large framed sheep with fine soft rolling wool whilst retaining reproductive performance. These sheep would be suitable to extend a merino flock or for further crossbreeding. The vendor scans ewes annually, and removes any dries - so these ewes have scanned in lamb every year since their first joining.
