Assessor Comments
Offering 510 SIL ewes in 2 lots of 255 head that will be delivered as a run out the gate with an even split of multiples. One mark proven breeders purchased ex the breeder SA and rising 4-5 yr old (approx 50/50 split). These ewes are in the prime of their lives and SIL at 159% with drys removed. Sires selected are large framed Aberdeen Poll Dorsets and White Suffolk’s (Joe Hoban bred - Wagga) all purchased with figures and predominantly selected for early growth. Exhibiting the true attributes of the composite breed these ewes are hardy, highly fertile and terrific mothers. Ewes are in perfect condition leading into lambing being a solid 67kg after a curfew and not overdone. Lambs produced last year off these ewes were fattened to suit trade kill markets with ease. Vendor is only selling due to an increased focus on cropping and to prioritising feed for early lambing ewes. A quality b-double load of composite ewes scanned in lamb to terminal sires due to lamb early July for 6 weeks.
