Assessor Comments
Good line of 4½ year old medium to large frame Merino ewes. Ewes are 100% scanned in lamb to White Suffolk rams with 45% singles and 55% twins. Ewes present in great forward condition coming off the back of a good winter. These ewes currently have their 2026 drop lambs still running on them and they averaged 45kg as suckers at assessment. Please note these lambs are also in the National Lamb Sale. Ewes were shorn in July and cut 4kg/head of wool at 12 months and tested 17.4 micron after a tough summer/autumn. This is an opportunity to secure ewes ready to drop lambs in November into a promising spring.
