Assessor Comments
A nice line of excellent quality 4.5 year old NSM merino ewes, offering an immediate rebate to the purchaser by way of the impressive 78mm jacket of soft, stylish, fine wool, ready to be harvested. These ewes are large-framed, classed-in, heavy wool cutters, which have been used in the vendors self-replacing Merino breeding operation. Continued flock improvement & refinement of genetics has contributed to a lamb marking rate averaging approx 130%, enabling the earlier than usual sale of core breeders with many years of production still ahead of them. These ewes are perfectly situated to be shorn now, allowing for a 6 week freshen up off-shears, & an optimum preparation for an early Autumn joining. Ewes are well balanced, impressing in both wool & carcass attributes, & are showcasing the years of breeding refinement, from a well regarded breeder of top quality Merino sheep in the Dunedoo district. They would be equally suited to a Merino or Xb lamb breeding operation. Highly recommended
