Assessor Comments
Vendor bred classed breeder ewes SIL to large framed Warburn stud White Suffolk sires. Currently running on agistment at Jerangle these ewes are typical of Bluebush blood and Western Riverina bred sheep being large framed, plain bodied and dual purpose. They range from 2019-2016 drop (only 20 head 2016 drop) and are proven breeders. These ewes present lighter in body weight and condition due to having received a large amount of rainfall and enduring a typical Monaro winter in recent months. The high conception rate is evidence of the proven fertility of the “Humewood” flock. They have conceived at a rate of over 95% with 57% (178 hd) carrying multiples (15 head - dry ewes removed). They are carrying a large number of foetuses as well as pushing in excess of 55mm of staple length. Quality ewes that will lamb down a high percentage of lambs that are suitable for trade and heavy export markets. Breeders ewes that are fit to be joined back to merino sires if required. Highly recommend.
