FLOCK DISPERSAL - PROPERTY SOLD. The McNaughton Family, 'Carranballac', have operated a closed Salt Creek merino flock for in excess of 20 years, with the vendor aiming to produce highly productive wool cutters and breeding sheep suited for the cooler and wetter Western Victorian climate. The flock averaged 18 microns in the 2022 shearing with results attached. The vendor aims to breed sheep that cut heavy, high yielding, white, bright and stylish clips, whilst also retaining reproductive performance. 325 Classed in 1.5 year old merino wethers. These sheep are ideal to purchase for any wool growing operation. These sheep averaged 53kgs at assessment.

Further Information: In wet winters and in the spring flush, some of the mature breeding sheep on Carranballac will show signs of scald. The vendor generally footbaths sheep, however none have been bathed this season.

Comments: 10-15% of each mob on Carranballac have a long toe nail/nails. The property has never foot pared sheep, nor are there any rocks on the property to trim the length of the toes. Sheep are typical of most western Victorian merino flocks.
