Assessor Comments
Offering a line of 329 mixed age Merino ewes, SIL to White Suffolk. Consisting of (120) 2017 drop and (209) 2018 drop Ashrose blood vendor bred ewes. These ewes were "classed in" by the vendor to breed merino lambs in their previous stud merino program. These ewes present in forward store condition, large framed with a nice barrel and a good start to wool production with 50mm of bright white wool averaging 7kg and 20 micron at September 2023 shearing. All ewes mouthed prior to assessment and were deemed sound of mouth. These ewes are surplus to vendor requirements and have been mated to "Bundarra Downs" White Suffolk rams, of which the vendor has had great success growing big healthy lambs in the past. A great opportunity to boost lamb numbers for 2024 and gain some quality wool cutting ewes in the process.
