Assessor Comments
Mixed age vendor bred merino ewes joined to a White Suffolk sire and only being sold as they are out of season lambing. They are 2-6 years of age with all of the purple tag ewes mouthed sound at assessment with broken and faulty mouths removed. 31% are black tag 2 year old ewes and 16% are 6 year old, with the balance being in between. They were joined from the 09/06-30/07 and were SIL with 40% carrying multiples on the 22/09. They are large framed, plain bodied Bluebush Poll Merino dams and sired by quality Keiross and Warburn White Suffolk sires. An ideal line of ewes to utilise excess spring feed and have a lamb with age on its side ready for the heavy kill market come late winter. They are genuine ewes bred in the purple, bare shorn and mulsed with the majority capable of rearing at least one more lamb. Vendor is also offering 3 lots of lambs in today’s lamb sale.
