360 - Vendor bred Merino ewes scanned in lamb to stud Border Leicester rams for a tight 43 day period. Ewes present in healthy store to forward store condition. Ewes were shorn 10 days prior to assessment with cover combs & have been grazing an annual oats crop since shearing. Ewes are to remain on crop until delivery. At scanning a random sample of 100 ewes were scanned for multiples resulting with 36% being detected with multiples & the balance singles. Please use as an estimation of multiples in mob only. A random sample of 50 ewes were mouthed at assessment - 10% were noted to be worn or missing their outside teeth (see media). Ewes ages are indicative of the appropriate Red NLIS tag colour, note odd ewe with other tags in ear, not relevant to age.
Ewes are being offered for sale as an annual sale of aged ewes - presenting an opportunity to secure a line of vendor bred ewes Scanned in lamb to lamb down as a trade option or retain ewes lambs as future breeding ewes.
