This is an aged line of ewes. 50 were mouthed at assessment. 32 had full mouths but worn 16 had broken mouths 2 had faulty mouths. See attached photos.
Assessor Comments
This is a productive line of merino ewes that are scanned 100% in lamb to the Border Leicester rams with 181 single and 197 twins scanned. The ewes are scanned annually with the dry ewes sold. The ewes have been mouthed and classed by the manager prior to joining as is done annually. There is a good start to a fleece with an ave of 48mm length. This is an aged line of proven ewes that have the condition and potential to lamb a high percentage presenting a very good trade in these favourable seasonal conditions. 1 ewe with a blue eye not active observed. 2 ewes treated for fly. There are ewes with scurs and small horns in the mob as shown in photos.
