Assessor Comments
Buyers a very impressive line of White Dorper ewes bred from NSW & being sold as station mated to Dorper rams. These are big heavy weight ewes in forward to mainly prime condition that show a stack of length, depth of barrel & frame. They are obviously very fertile ewes having 187% of lambs weaned off them back in January, vendor noted he had never seen so many twins & triplets. In sample noted 1 ewe with a blue eye but doesn't seem to be pink eye. Also 1 ewe in sample with a parrot jaw. Did notice odd lame ewe that was removed at assessment however the country is very wet & their feet are pretty soft so there could be some that get sore in the feet during transportation. Vendor does have 2 lots of lambs in the Lamb Sale that can be used to fill decks. A good sample of these were mouthed & whilst there are some ewes with broken mouths they should be able to lamb out & rear the lamb easily enough. Check dressed weight for an indication of trade in value when they are done breeding.
