Assessor Comments
Buyers, a load of big robust healthy ewes that have a 70 year history of pure Egelabra bloodlines. Clients have never wavered from their pursuit of excellence over the many decades of highs and lows in the wool industry. They still select high quality, top grade rams and have their maiden ewes classed annually. A sample of these ewes were mouthed, they are still very sound and will allow restockers to join to the rams of choice for a spring lambing. They would be highly suitable for either a cross breeding enterprise to produce an F1 lamb for the very lucrative lamb trade or a dedicated wool producer to breed from very well bred ewes to enhance a Merino operation. There is also the opportunity to take full advantage of the excellent wool prices being experienced at present. These had 106% of lambs weaned off them back in September. They will also suit export mutton processors to kill as most have plenty of fat coverage and a nice start in the jacket. WILL DELIVER A COMFORTABLE 4 DECKS.
