Assessor Comments
Vendor has presented 410 mixed aged Australian White cross ewes that have run continuously with Australian White rams. There are approx. 35 lambs at foot, with visual signs of more lambs to come. In the line, tail lengths vary a bit however noted about 14 that are considered long tails. Due to the current dry season the majority of these ewes are score 1's, with some presenting very light in condition. These ewes have been known to be very productive in past dry seasons. These will suit a restocker to scan and rejoin any ewes that are scanned empty once they pick up in condition. Every effort will be made to remove any ewes deemed too heavy in lamb to transport. I would discourage long distance transportation due to the plain condition some of these ewes have presented in. Buyers to disregard tag colours as they don't corelate with any particular age group. These ewes have been bred out of a historic line of Damara ewes that have been crossed for many generations with Australian White rams making these at least F2’s and F3’s.
