Assessor Comments
Buyers here is a line of large to medium frame wethers that are in their wool growing prime. These would suit to carry on for a few more years cutting wool or to fatten for the export mutton trade at the end of the winter off good herbage or crop. They have the frame and capacity to reach medium to heavy weights (23-25kgs dressed) I would think. I did note that there are about 3% cut horn from obviously being marked as stragglers and slightly older. There is a photo that will demonstrate an example. Also in the sample there was 1 wether with old dry fly strike on the shoulder and also noted 1 with light mycotic dermatitis on the back. Also noted around 5% with some slight scabby mouth lesions on the lip from grazing around Galvanised burr (photo attached as an example). There are 860 wethers in the run being offered in two separate lines of 430 and will be delivered as a "run of the gate" into even lines if purchased by multiple buyers.
