Assessor Comments
An excellent opportunity to secure proven 1st Cross BL/Mer ewes. Ewes are Spicers creek bred with a small % of yellow tags being purchased ex. Borambil, Condoblin. Ewes typically mark 150%-160% on ewes joined consistently achieving 90% foetus survival. Vendor scans ewes every year removing dry's as well as ewes which do not raise a lamb. Ewes have been running on lucerne during lambing and have been given a slow release copper sulfate (12 mnths), cobalt (12 mnths) and selenium (3 yrs) pellet allowing ewes to power ahead since weaning lambs. At assessment 240 red tags (4 yrs) 15 blue tags (3 yrs) 185 yellow tags (5 yrs) were counted for age breakup. A terrific opportunity for buyers to purchase a very well managed, proven lot of breeders. These ewes have a lot of breeding potential left with vendor typically retaining 5 yr old ewes for a further 3 joining's. **Buyers please note** Vendor would typically jet for fly and lice this time of year and if were notified would be happy to do so for purchaser if wanted, they have also noted to fit into drench rotation startec and levamisole drench would be ideal for ewes to ensure a 100% complete clean out. They are also willing to take FEC sample to stockwatch to identify worm count for new purchaser. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE
