Assessor Comments
Classed in breeding Ewes that have served the Peskett flock well. The purple tag ewes would normally be kept another year but due to drying season and a number of good lambing's the vendor has decided to sell them. These ewes are Medium to Large framed heavy wool cutters that have had just over 100% lambs weaned about 6 weeks ago. Mainly store condition and would benefit from a few weeks on feed before joining. Ewes are sound in mouth and would do a good job on lamb. Ewes are June shorn with approx 50mm of stylish well crimped wool for age of ewes. Bred from the Coban Merino Stud that originated in 1960 with recent purchases of impressive genetics from North Ashrose, Orrie Cowie and Towonga Studs. Their flock average cut is approx 7kg and sits around the 19-20 micron. These ewes have not been joined nor scanned. There is 215 Young ewes from Vendor in same sale.
