Assessor Comments
An excellent line of 21 Drop yellow tag medium to large frame, April shorn, Watervalley (SA) & Cresline (NSW) blood merino ewes, SIL 100% from 2 - 3.2 months to Glenalvie Border Leicester rams. These youthful ewes present in fresh store to forward store/prime condition. Ewes were purchased in sept 21 as 20kg E/L which have been given the time & animal health treatments to let grow/develop into medium but predominantly large frame merino ewes. Ewes are very fertile always producing quality 1st cross lambs even through the tough seasonal conditions over the previous 2 years. Young quality breeding merino ewes are the future of the wool industry in which these have the genetics to succeed in any intended management program given the correct nutrition. Note: 1% of ewes assessed displayed ewe horn/scur. Due to the current lamb market price increasing week to week instills plenty of confidence back in the lamb breeding program. "OPPORTUNITY PRESENTS".
