Assessor Comments
Offering 510 young Merino Ewes that averaged 34.6kg live at assessment. The ewes are carrying approximately 50mm average wool length and have come out of a drier spring, but have turned a corner and will continue to grow out on good feed. These ewes are sired by Bundilla and Picarilli Merino rams and are out of easy-care western QLD bred ewes that have had Well Gully influence in the past. The ewes are the total drop from late spring 2023 with a small tail removed. The ewes have also been crutched after the assessment so will be presented well for delivery. Please note at assessment ewes had been in the yards curfewed since the day prior so were very empty. Also noted at assessment were some ewes with black marking on ears, some with light scabby mouth, lambs with scabs on the ears from sun damage and one lightly undershot jaw.
