Assessor Comments
Vendor is offering for sale 520 composite and White Suffolk cross ewes rising 5-6 years of age. These ewes are being sold as surplus to requirements due to making room for younger composite ewes. All of the vendor bred ewes conceived as ewe lambs and have scanned in lamb every year following. The fertility of these ewes is evident by their scanning rate. 69% are carrying multiples and being proven breeders they have the best chance of survival. They were scanned 22/04/22 to identify the early lambing ewes and marked on the rump with siro marks (blue/green for twins and red - singles). The undetectable ewes were rescanned on the 04/05/22 and marked on the shoulder (Green for twins and red for singles totally approx 10% of ewes assessed). They are majority large framed ewes carrying good body weight for condition and will fatten into extra heavy sheep with the correct feed. Ideal for a trade or to join ewes again and/or retain ewes lambs. Please note vendor also offering 75 merino ewes.
