55 SAMM/Mo F1 young ewes scanned in lamb to a F1 SAMM/Merino ram. The scanner believes by the size of the foetus, the ram hasn't been there that long, a month tops. This is part of the annual sale of Shephard's young ewes, they have been breeding these first cross young ewes for approx. 17 years. The same vendor has 2 x 178 lots of the same sheep that are scanned undetectable in the same sale. The ewes are just on the do, and starting to pickup weight. Top weight 62 kg, bottom weight 37 kg, averaging 50.2 kg at assessment.
