AN IMPRESSIVE LINE OF MERINO EWE LAMBS THAT HAVE BECOME A RARITY. AS MENTIONED, THEY HAVE IMPROVED NOTABLY IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS ON A LATE WINTER FLUSH. THESE EWE LAMBS WILL CONTINUE TO FLOURISH ON GOOD FEED AND PRESENT WELL FOR A LATE SPRING OR SUMMER JOINING. IN THE MEANTIME THEY HAVE STAPLE LENGTH THAT COULD BE SHORN INTO EXISTING SHEARING PROGRAMMES. THESE EWES ALSO CARRY RWS CERTIFICATION WHEN MARKETING THE WOOL. THIS FLOCK HAS NOT MULSED FOR 8 YEARS. OF THE SHEEP ASSESSED 11 HEAD WERE HORNED EWES.THE SIMPSON FLOCK HAS A GREAT TRACK RECORD FOR FERTILITY AND FREE GROWING ATTRIBUTES IN BOTH FLEECE AND CARCASS. SIRES ARE SELECTED FOR STAPLE LENGTH, FAT COVER AND CARCASS TRAITS, IN ODER TO MEET MODERN MARKET REQUIREMENTS. THE FUTURE PRODUCTIVITY FROM THESE EWES WOULD RIVAL ANY SHEEP BREEDS OF TODAY.
