Assessor Comments
Good quality Poll Coreena young maiden ewes 20 to 22 months old - 20.04.21 to 16.06.21 drop. Depastured with Poll Dorset rams & SIL expected to commence lambing 01/04 for 8 weeks. In strong forward to fresh / fat condition & benefiting from good quality herbages and grasses, well grown with frame and size to produce a good quality Poll Dorset cross lamb. Grown & raised under the “Responsible Wool Standards and Integrity Systems” program at Leander & Evanston Stations. Assessed the same day as Preg scanning and then ID'd with a green spray mark on the near ear for ID purposes and purchaser confidence whilst yarded. Recent wet weather and humid conditions have stirred up the flies with Approx 25 ewes treated with Diazinon at assessment for minor fly strike or to treat old dry patches as a preventative measure. Several ewes have breach stain and will benefit from crutching by the purchaser. There are a small number of old dry fly strike patches on some ewes. 1 undershot ewe in the sample
