Assessor Comments
Good frame ewes that are in surprisingly good condition due to the client feeding fava beans during joining and through the winter. It has been very wet at the property where they have been running, subsequently there has been some scalding. My client has done appropriate actions for this and the animals have responded well to their treatments. They are good frame, easy care animals and with them have been shorn recently there would not be much to do to them before lambing. With them being all scanned in lambs 100% with singles they should have relatively ease of lambing. These ewes have been on a BABERVAX program and have been well looked after. They are in lamb to White Suffolk X Poll Dorset rams for low birth weight and high growth rates. There is great potential to make some good money out of these ewes on good feed.
