Assessor Comments
A line of 660 well bred Mumblebone blood classed ewes. Ewes have had a 3 week joining window however was very dry so might not have joined. Handful in mob showing signs of lamb- if heavy in lamb at time of delivery they will be pulled out . The percentage of ewes at assessment were mouthed showing 8 tooth’s with only a handful being worn and 2 6tooths. Also made note of frames 77% being A frame, 22% being B framed and 1% being C framed. Majority 3/4 year old only a small % are older. Shorn in April 25. Possamunga sheep are known as good wool cutters and big frame sheep and these ewes are in good order ready to take on and fatten on good feed or carry on as breeders. Ewes will be placed back out on good flood out country before delivery.
