Worn mouths varied from very slight ware with mouths just showing some spreading to worn to gum, 22 of the ewes classified as worn were deemed sound being slightly worn. Broken mouths ranged from missing one tooth to missing multiple.
Assessor Comments
A large line of proven breeders with 120% lambs weaned at assessment. Majority of Ewes present in store condition, with a percentage forward store giving an opportunity for purchaser to join and/or fatten. These are vendor bred, typical western ewes with majority from Coban Merino bloodlines. Ewes are best described as medium to large frame and will benefit a fresh paddock and having large lambs removed. Vendor is unsure of exact age as eartags do not match the year drop, although 6.5-10 would best describe the age range. Ewes are tagged with green and some tagged at assessment with leftover yellow tags. Ewes were running with black tag, 2016 drop ewes that are in the same sale. Approx 5 ewes were noted to have old fly strike, not seen as detrimental. Ewes have will have bagged up as weaning occurred same day as assessment. There were ram lambs removed at assessment that were missed at lamb marking.
