Mouthed 75 head at assessment with a good mix of both Red & Yellow Tags. Majority of ewes presented with sound full mouths, 14 x head slightly worn mouths, 8 x head showing worn mouths and 3 x head with very slight broken mouth.
Assessor Comments
Buyers an opportunity to buy 8 decks of VGQ NSM Mumblebone CFA merino ewes. These ewes present in predominantly store condition & are best described as large frame. Ewes have recently weaned 121% of lambs one week prior to assessment. This lot is made up of 615 x Red tag (2014 drop) and 135 x Yellow tag (2013 drop) ewes. The "Boran" sheep are very highly regarded for there quality of wool they produce each year and average 5-5.5kg wool cuts. This line of ewes are classed in ewes so will be very suitable to rejoin to ram of choice. At assessment 5 x head noticed with one ear missing, 1 x head with a horn on ear, a small number with scaly ears & 3 x head with slight busted utter. An opportunity to buy a very reputable line of ewes to shear & fatten or join to the ram of choice. Ewes would benefit with a crutching at delivery.
