Assessor Comments
A smaller line of mixed age, mostly medium framed, Merino ewes, predominantly 1.8 to 5 years, with approx 20% of ewes ranging from 6 to 9 years, with 72 unmarked merino lambs at foot (at time of assessment), sired by MERRYVILLE & GULLENGAMBLE rams. These ewes present a little mixed in age, frame & wool length, with 3 shearing dates in the mob, however the lambs at foot are relatively even, and present a prudent opportunity for a profitable trade, for those fortunate enough to have feed. These ewes had formed part of the vendors core breeders, with a focus on breeding self-replacing, good framed ewes, with fine, soft handling wool. Ewes have been agisting on a property near Molong, since March, due to a very dry Autumn limiting feed at the vendors property near Geurie, with the intent to bring home & retain the younger ewes once they had finished lambing, however, agistment feed is running out & conditions haven't improved. A few ewes appear to be springing & yet to lamb. 100% sampled
