Assessor Comments
A good line of station mated, April/May '22 drop CORALYN BLOOD ewes. These ewes are bred from big, heavy boned, stretchy ewes, & will continue to develop into large framed future breeders. They are generally plain bodied types, & will excel in a cross breeding prime lamb operation. These Autumn '22 Drop ewes are developing well, along with the Spring '22 drop ewes which are also on offer this sale, in respect to body weight & scale. They have been running with the Spring drop surplus ewes since July, & have had a 5 week joining to KURRAVIEW White Suffolk rams. Rams came out late December, making them detectable to preg-scan in a couple of weeks. Ewes are bred from a very fertile, self-replacing flock, with breeders scanning empty, culled out each year. This joining has been their first opportunity to the rams. Approx 6% of ewes assessed had small soft scur buds, & 1 ewe had small horns. Good chance to secure 2 x lots of station mated, one-mark quality young ewes, A/c the breeder.
