Assessor Comments
Buyers, to be offered for sale are 600 Border Leicester X Merino Ewes with 660 Lambs at foot. Genuine mixed aged ewes comprising of 2023, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016 drop with the majority being 4 to rising 8 year old. Ewes were shorn mid September. Ewes range from store to prime condition and have medium to large frames. 660 unmarked lambs at foot. Lambs are sired by White Suffolk and Poll Dorset Rams. Lambs are majority July/August drop with a small percentage of September/October drop. Lambs average 32Kg with a range of 13Kg - 52Kg at assessment. Lambs do present with dag, see media for visual description. A great trade opportunity has presented itself with multiple marketing avenues. Mark and Wean the lambs and take on into feeder weights or domestic/export kill weights, fatten the ewe or rejoin to sell as a SIL unit.
