Presenting a tidy line of well grown young 1st cross ewe hoggets account the breeder and NSM. The vendors are regular clients of Dunneild Border Leicester stud and regularly buy the large framed Riverina Merino ewes needed to produce the export type lambs required. These ewes should grow into large framed matrons that should suit most terminal breeding operations. A tail has been taken out. Sample weighed at assessment saw a low weight of 45kg and a high weight of 71 kg to average 56kg after 3 hrs in yards. Noticed approx 7 ewes with very small scurrs or horn and approx 8 with very small black spots on ears, typical of breed. The sheep present in forward condition and very lively and healthy despite the exceptionally wet winter and spring experienced. Most are 3 and 4 score. One ewe was treated for early stages of fly strike at assessment. Vendor normally offers these ewes as lambs however access to yards and trucking has delayed this year.

Mothers are Paraway ewes Pooginook blood and also purchased New Merrigal ewes (Had Rig blood) and sires Dunneild stud Border Leicesters.
Grazing Conditions
Ewes have been grazing on a saltbush stand and natural pastures freshened by recent and constant showers. Mostly summer grasses emerging now.
