Assessor Comments
This mob of ewes has been classed with a high standard and a tail has been taken out. The only reason why the client is selling these ewes is because of the high fertility in their genetics and they are keeping the elite sheep of this age group. They just have to reduce some numbers. The breeding & mothering abilities of these ewes genetics is astounding. The client's have quite often said that the multiples are raised and are very hard to tell the difference to the singles at weaning time. The have used the ewes in the main flock as a self replacing flock that are quite easily getting a good carcass merino wether lamb and are killed at very good weights. These ewes are joined back to Karbullah rams. As my client is shearing the rest of their sheep next week, this mob can be crutched or shorn depending on buyer .
