67 PTIC Angus hfrs in calf to a Full Blood Wagyu (Australian Rural J39 - SPLFJ0039). The hfrs were purchased from the Mortlake and Ballarat sale yards in Oct and AI'd on the 14/12. The hfrs were preg tested in calf on the 14/1. They should begin to calve around the 23/9. The hfrs averaged 414kg full at assessment, they were heavier 4 weeks ago though have slipped a bit with the feed quality dropping. There are 2 hfrs that have orangey coats, given a multimin they would freshen up straight away. They are a bit up and down in weights and frame however given quality feed I do believe the lighter hfrs will pick up. Very quiet heifers that have a very valuable Wagyu calf inside them.
