Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Light store condition, were running in a mob of 500 backgrounder cattle, it is thought they will benefit being on their own. 2 calves are pretty woody, the balance seem to be getting adequate milk. 1 calf is pretty fresh born and would not travel great distances without rest or possibly being separated so as not to be stood on.

A small run off mostly Angus first calf heifers and calves. Purchased as backgrounder heifers were found to be in calf. Mostly small framed heifers, it is likely that they are very fertile and got in calf whilst on the cow. It is thought that on fair nutrition that theses heifers would continue to grow and become useful breeders or an opportunity to take forward to a split. 1 calf had blight at assessment and was treated. Most of these calves appear to be getting adequate milk, however 1 older calf is woody.
