Assessor Comments
Cravensville Estate offer the first stage of their herd dispersal. These heifers & calves are very even, well grown quality young females with plenty of milk under them. The majority of these females are based on Jarobee Angus & Wirruna Poll Hereford bloodlines. The vendor has put a lot of focus on selecting bulls in the top 25% of breed for growth & calving ease. These heifers are a combination of ‘Classed in’ Vendor bred heifers with some high quality brought in heifers from 2 other local herds, purchased as weaners. These heifers are not rejoined, ready for joining to the bull of your choice. The Cravensville herd has perfected the art of hybrid genetics using Wirruna Hereford bulls over the Angus females, & Jarobee Angus bulls over the Black Baldy females. The resulting calves are predominately black baldies with some Angus calves, and an odd red baldy in the mix, The calves benefit from great growth & performance due to the genetic bull selections coupled with hybrid vigour, showing predominantly black hides. They are cattle with good bone & confirmation, quiet temperament & great mothering ability. Highly recommended.
