Assessor Comments
A good line of quiet Angus & Angus cross heifers, on their first calf. This line of 1st calvers were purchased as part of a larger lot of PTIC heifers out of Dunedoo, ex AuctionsPlus, before being calved down & mothered into smaller lines. Heifers present as predominantly good frame, having mostly been given the opportunity to mature to 1.5 year olds before being joined. They are producing plenty of milk, which is nourishing an even, attractive line of marked & vaccinated EASTERN PLAINS ANGUS sired calves at foot, which consist more heavily of steers. Presenting in fresh store condition these heifers are starting to clean up in the coat, & would put considerable weight on quickly with access to fresher, more available feed, as we move towards the warmer months. Approx 7 cows were observed to have a small percentage of cross in the breeding, which presented mostly as a red tinge through the coat. Great opportunity to replace old breeders with first calvers at favourable changeover rates
