Assessor Comments
A good quality line of quiet Angus x Bos indicus heifers, on their first calf. This line of 1st calvers were purchased as PTIC heifers out of Condobolin NSW & Oakey QLD, ex AuctionsPlus, with the addition of 1 Angus x Shorthorn, & an AA heifer with Angus sired calves at foot. Heifers currently present as predominantly medium frame, with around 5 larger framed heifers throughout & maintain the capacity to develop further on suitable feed. Presenting in fresh store condition these heifers are starting to clean up & become slick in the coat & will thrive on more available feed being well adapted to the heat in the coming months with the addition of the Droughtmaster & Ultrablack influence in the breeding. 1 calf, & 1 heifer were repeat treated for pinkeye at assessment with Orbenin, which appears to be healing. A great opportunity to replace old breeders with 1st calvers that will develop into attractive, stretchy cows, suited to a wide range of climates, at favourable changeover rates.
