Heifers were very easy to manage. All drafted off their calves easily, and were very obliging and easy to handle when bringing up from the back yards. All very quite when standing on the scales, with the few docile listed heifers, not even returning to the yard after weighing and just turning around & standing infront of the crush. Very quiet once let out in to the holding yard for photos. Happy to just spread out, find their calves, and have a pick of grass. None showing any anxious behaviour.

Assessor Comments
Pure Te Mania Angus blood heifers, Tops of their 2024 Autumn Drop - Out of a self replacing herd of pure Te Mania Angus Cows, By High Marbling (+5IMF) Te Mania Q drop Sires. The Whiteley herd hold a reputation for producing high feedlot performing cattle with excellent marble scoring & carcass qualities. These heifers present in healthy store condition, are doing an excellent job with their young, Autumn drop calves, and have been back with the Bull since May 22nd, to set them up for a March 1st calving next year. These young heifers and calves have not been spoilt, calving down on very plain pastures, and being hand fed straw & header tailings whilst learning & adjusting to the ropes of motherhood. These females would absolutely kick away with some good consistent feed in front of them and will be unrecognisable come the warmer weather. A perfect line of with the genetics & reputation to build a herd from, and the added bonus of 66% heifers to hand pick your future breeders from! A very nice line of heifers that would have been retained, however the vendor has made the decision to concentrate on a Spring calving only herd. Buyers please Note.
