These Heifers moved freely past me, & through gateways. The few that jumped around in the race & weigh box I'm sure will settle with more handling. These cattle don't get a lot of handling however come from a good quiet cow herd.

Assessor Comments
Buyers genuine opportunity to buy a line of Heifers fully intended to be retained as replacement breeders. Only being sold due to continuing dry conditions. Joined to very suitable Hazeldean Angus sires. PTIC by Border Veterinary surgery by rectal palpation on the day of assessment. QLD Vet no. 7571. Vet noted a large percentage are 4-6 months in calf. This consignment are from 1.5 to 7 months pregnant, note the empty & 7+month heifers have been drafted off at testing. At testing I noted down the heifers nominated less than 3 months pregnant was 13hd, with the remaining 45hd being 3+ to 7 months. This line of heifers are well grown, generally calm & quiet to handle through the yards. These heifers are by Carabar Angus sires, and have been bred up from a Hereford herd 4-6 generations ago. These Heifers will complement any Angus commercially based herd, and will go onto breed year in year out! I highly recommend this line of replacement breeder heifers.

Breeding Comments
Carrabar & most recently Hazeldean bloodlines used in this herd. This herd was bred up from a Hereford base 4-6 generations ago.
Grazing Conditions
Grazing short dry Buffel & native pastures. Being fed 2 Large square bales of Barley straw daily as it’s very dry & roughage in the paddock is limited.

Vendor Comments
This is the entire heifer draft that at testing were 1.5 to 7months pregnant, these heifers are normally always kept and bred from annually. Regretful sale but it’s too dry to hold them.
