These cows worked pretty well through yards at assessment, although they are free moving and some are pretty quick. 5 cows did become very agitated in the race, they did settle down on their release into a bigger yard. They are pretty settled in larger yards but are prone to panic in smaller yards and confinment.

Assessor Comments
A run of 65 mostly British and British cross cows with 65 calves by Red Angus bulls at foot that are in a pretty tight calving window and are rejoined to Red Angus Bulls. Cows do not have visable age brands but when mouthed 75% are young to middle age with solid mouths, the remainder are from the early stages of worn to 2 cows that have teeth missing and 1 cow that has no teeth. All cows have sound udders with plenty of milk and as a result all calves are sappy and powering ahead. They are a good quality, even line, of calves that are tagged but not marked and include 34 male calves and 31 heifer calves. They are running on an accredited Organic property and as such the calves are eligable for Organic status. PLEASE NOTE. One cow does have a knocked down hip, (old injury and not lame), 1 cow has slight blue scarring on both eyes, but doesn't appear to have any loss of sight. VENDOR ALSO has a further 4 decks of cows and calves in the same sale.
