All calves had been drafted off from their mothers approximately 20 hours prior to assessment so were understandably a little anxious to get back to them. The majority of the calves settled the more they were handled, a small handful were a little nervous when singled out however settled when returned to the group.

Buyers a top line of well-bred Hereford & Hereford/Angus steer weaners averaging 301kg. These young steer calves are a very good type and have good weight for age. They have frame and length, and are displaying great shape, style and bone. Going forward, they should continue to grow out into well finished heavyweight cattle suitable for all grassfed markets being Greenhams NE acc and NG/NA
