234 VGQ HGP Free Vendor Bred Santa & Droughtmaster Cross Steers. These Steers have Very Good Bone, Length, Depth & Frame for their Age with Sound Feet & mostly Tidy Heads. They are from a Highly Regarded Herd & are ideal to finish off to slaughter weights on Grass, Crop or Grain, with the ability to make Very Good Bullocks. Take note of the compensatory weight gain available in these Steers as they have been weaned from March - July this year. Steers are very good to handle & they have the added benefit of being bunk trained. Lighter Steers have been sold to repeat buyer for past few years & they can attest to performance in the feedlot. All Steers are Calender Branded No.5’s with 2 x Late No.4’s included. The 6 x No.5 Steers over 500kg & the 2 x No.4 Steers were mouthed with 7 x solid Milk Teeth & 1 x No.4 just starting to crack 2 teeth. Steers were 100% weighed & assessed after 16 hours off feed & water. There are 5 x Steers with healed up Flybite Marks (worst case in last photo) & 1 Steer with a crank in his tail (factor these into your bidding). Vellum is Prickly Acacia Free. Steers will be sold cents per kg off scales Winton after 12 hours off feed & water. Delivery date for purchaser needs to be nominated by Friday afternoon so a truck can be organised to get the Steers into Winton.

Cow Herd is based off “Eyriewald” Santa genetics. Vendor currently uses VGQ Drensmaine, Strathmore, Bullamakinka & Gyranda Santa Bulls as well as Rondel Droughtmaster Bulls. Vendor's cattle are highly regarded and sought after.
Grazing Conditions
Hayed off Mitchell & Buffel Grass with some green shoot in it. They have been weaned from March to July 2026 so have grown a frame & lost their bloom. They would only be maintaining weight on this feed.
