Assessor Comments
A line of vendor-bred Angus and Angus Cross weaner steers. With medium to large frames they suit to background to domestic and then onto export feeder weights. They are good to very good quality with seven fair quality steers in the line which just lack a little muscling. Due to vendor calving nearly all year round there is a range of ages and therefore weights in the line. These steers were assessed with a LWR of 190 - 320 kg with a small tail removed under 190 kg. They are normally they are weaned into a cell grazing operation and backgrounded to export feeder weights but are being sold due to the season. They have not had access to grain or cotton seed. They all have been run in a cell grazing operation, are familiar with electric fences and have been handled use LSS techniques.
