Steers that were good to handle in all areas of the yards. There were just the standard few that did resent being in the crush which is not unusual. They all behaved well when being photographed and videoed. Vendor did say they are very easy to muster using a buggy.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a deck load of EU ACCREDITED weaner Angus steers suitable to background up to export or domestic feeder weights. They are considered good to very good quality. These have presented in mainly store condition. Whilst the season has been marginal for the past few months, most have responded very well to being supplemented with pellets and molasses and most don’t look to have had any growth setbacks with the dry weather being experienced. There are however about 2-3 lighter weight steers that have maybe not handled the dry quite as well however they are deemed capable of catching up. Any steer that looked to have maybe suffered a bigger setback was discarded at assessment. These steers considering we are now in the winter months and with rain on them look to be in good health, reasonably clear in the eyes and around the muzzle. Please see the photos of the eyes that gives a good insight of what is involved with those, no sight issues evident. There is also a light 2-deck load of heifers available that can be purchased to fill a B-Double to make long distance freight more affordable.
