A line of vendor-bred Angus and Angus Cross weaner heifers. With medium to large frames they suit to background to heavy domestic weights and then crop or grain finsh for a range of high quality markets. No heifers are retained for joining and the top 55% are very good quality and have the potential to make very good future breeders. The balance of the heifers are approx 35% good quality with approx 10% fair quality heifers which just lack a little muscling. Due to vendor calving nearly all year round there is a range of ages and weights in the line. They were assessed with a LWR of 200 - 371 kg with a small tail removed at assessment. Please note one good quality heifer has only one ear after a wild dog attack as a calf (see photo) - can be left out of the line post sale if requested by the buyer. Normally these heifers are weaned into a cell grazing operation and backgrounded and finished for grass accredited slaughter markets but are being sold due to the season. They all have been run in a cell grazing operation, are familiar with electric fences and have been handled use LSS techniques.
