Heifers were a pleasure to assess. Odd weaner was excited in crush and wanted to turn in crush/race but settled back into mob quickly. Heifers have been well weaned and yard trained.

Assessor Comments
A good quality run of Angus and Black baldy heifers out of the renowned Sherwood herd to be sold as 1 deck. Heifers were weaned in February and have come away with recent rains after a very tough start. Sherwood cattle are known for their do-ability and perform very well in feedlots. These heifers will be suitable to breed or feed, and should reach feeder weights quickly and domestic/export weights if given the chance. This lot represents the portion of Sherwood heifers that had some level of pink eye throughout the tough season. All have healed and no active pinkeye in mob but approx 20 with some form of scar. Please see photos of worst ones. All have some vision out of both eyes. No heifers with two blue eyes. Hazeldean & Te Mania bulls out of Hazeldean/Boco blood cows. Ideal 'low dollar per head' cattle to put away and forget about.
