Assessor Comments
A quality line of 63 Angus heifers offered from the renowned Lake Midgeon program. These genuine August/September 2025 drop heifers represent the entire Spring drop and averaged 287.8kg curfewed at assessment. Since weaning, these heifers have been given every opportunity to grow and develop on a combination of natural and improved pastures, resulting in a sound, even line of young females with plenty of growth potential ahead of them. These heifers exhibit the type Lake Midgeon has consistently aimed to produce; moderate framed, thick made cattle with shape, depth and functionality. All are sired by top-end Tattykeel Angus bulls and out of Tattykeel blood cows, providing proven maternal and carcass genetics throughout the offering. Further supporting the quality of this draft, the brothers to these heifers sold through AuctionsPlus a fortnight ago for $1,975/head, averaging $5.85/kg. These heifers present an excellent opportunity for producers seeking quality future breeders or alternatively a well bred line suitable for backgrounding. A genuine sale of the entire Spring drop, offering access to the heart of the Lake Midgeon breeding program. Please note, the entire Autumn drop heifers also sell, 35 head.
