These weaners handled well throughout the assessment. A small number of heifers were slightly stand-offish while being photographed; however, the cattle are well educated and accustomed to yard handling procedures.

Assessor Comments
Quality line of spring-drop, vendor-bred Angus heifers. These well-bred weaners are out of medium to large-framed Angus-blood cows from Bongongo, Galimbang, Rennylea and Reiland bloodlines, and are sired by high-indexing Bongongo and Flemington Angus bulls. They display strong genetics and performance suited to a wide range of backgrounding and finishing programs, with potential to also develop into future breeders. The heifers have been yard weaned, received all standard animal health treatments, and are ready to continue performing. Marathorn cattle have a strong reputation for productivity and performance, with previous buyers consistently pleased with results. This is a reliable and proven line of quality heifers that should attract strong competition.
