Assessor Comments
The Simpson family have been breeding Angus cattle for many years and are passionate about producing cattle to suit their breeding needs but also perform in the feedlot or grass-fed markets. Bulls are selected annually, that are structurally sound, have good temperament and fleshing ability. A high importance is also placed on growth rates, conformation & positive fats. They are from large frame, deep bodied cows and the quality shines through in these progeny. These steers would excel in the feedlot or grassfed programs. They are eligible for grass-fed programs as they are pasture reared and anti-biotic free. NB: There were 2 or 3 steers with a running eye or pink eye. They were treated with cream and patched at assessment.
