Assessor Comments
Buyers, good quality Angus steers bred from females purchased out of the New England area that present in mainly store to forward store condition. The steers are very quiet; the vendor’s always do an excellent job throughout the weaning process and is reflected in these. I will suggest these will fly ahead if they get access to better feed conditions especially on heavier black scrub soil country with improved pastures or crop. Most of these good soft steers show excellent carcass traits with plenty of length and depth of barrel. All the hard work is done; they are well and truly and over the weaning process, not a sound coming out of them, so they are not stressed by being weaned recently. Ideal to put away and background to heavier weights and meet all export feeder specs later in the year. Cattle from Wongavale are continually attracting repeat buyers, evidence they must perform. 2 with old blue eye scarring and one that was treated (Terramycin) and will be checked at delivery.
